On Wednesday the 8th of December, Glide were awarded Best Wi-Fi Service provider at the annual Wi-Fi Now Awards. We are delighted to be the winners, as this category focuses on offering exceptional Wi-Fi services alongside setting an example for the Wi-Fi industry.
Live from Denmark, the awards allowed members of the worlds finest Wi-Fi companies and some of the industries most dynamic leaders to attend in the event person or virtually. Wi-Fi NOW's mission is to promote and support all things Wi-Fi - the awards are an extension of this crucial principle by highlighting the very best the industry can offer.
The Best Wi-Fi Service Provider of the year award seeks to promote a service provider offering outstanding user experience with exceptional use of technology drawing on innovation & scalability of business models. A key focus of this award is highlighting the provider and their outstanding value in providing public or public-facing enterprise Wi-Fi to venues, cities, public spaces and more, while also setting an example of excellence for the wider ISP industry - And Glide won.
Dan Alvarez, Sales Director, had this to say, "At Glide, we are constantly thinking about how to adapt and be contactless, especially over the pandemic. The tech developments, as a result, are down to necessity to keep people connected. We've now evolved that tech to a point where there is no going back, which for us is great because it means we're always pushing the boundary of technological advancements in the industry."
With technological advancements and Glide owning its network, the contention ratio offered is 1:1 compared to other providers averaging 20:1. This, combined with our pervasive Wi-Fi, which provides a single solution for full customer site coverage, means Glide can provide seamless connections to anyone anywhere. The win is confirmation that we're doing great work within the industry and fully supporting those who need it.
The last few years have arguably made Wi-Fi one of the new vital necessities of life, providing businesses with the much-needed support and individuals with the necessary connection to their loved ones and friends. Alvarez continues, "To stay in front, we need to keep adapting the day-to-day basics so we can continue with our lives. We as a company need to adjust to the environment to survive, but, more than that, we need to do it so people can live."
We are over the moon to be recognised for our efforts of development and services; it's a humbling thing. A huge congratulations to all other nominees and winners of the awards this year. We look forward to next year.
