About the role
Working within a team, you will be accountable for operational day to day debt recovery across various aged debt books, improving and implementing new processes to minimise credit risk and maintaining and improving all documentation (including policies and compliance regulations)
You will develop and deliver on projects to improve cash collection, allocating payments to customer accounts and implementing and updating Credit Control Policies and functions.
Additionally, you will be expected to take escalation calls from other members of staff to help resolve debt related queries, send requests to make improvements on systems and taking ownership on decision of client refunds.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high-volume outbound contacts to collect cash across multiple debt ledgers and be able to produce excellent internal and external communications. You will need to have the ability to present information in a structure and balanced way and have advanced Excel skills.
You will lead by example and be happy to mentor and develop other credit controllers to enhance skill levels and capabilities within the department. You need to be an open and creative professional as you will manage different personalities and people remotely as well as face to face.
